I recently shot some photos for a friend who’s writing a short piece for blogTO on MMA and boxing gyms around the Greater Toronto Area. Since both of us have trained at multiple gyms, we figured we’d make an excellent team to really bring forth a level of understanding of what sets them all apart. Anyways……here are the images from our first outing. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that Grant Brothers MMA is a FANTASTIC gym in my opinion! It’s not too big and has a real sense of community, which when coupled with great trainers makes for an awesome learning environment. I would train there in a heartbeat if it were closer to where I live.

Just did a shoot for a couple of musicians last Friday. Michael Lake (Guitar) and Bourton Scott (Fiddle) are both embarking on a brief motorcycle tour in August hence needed some shots for their posters. Their stops include North Bay, Pembroke, Ottawa, Montreal, Kingston, Peterborough and finally Toronto. I’m also sure there will also be other impromptu stops along the way. Good friends + good music = good times! It’s always great to hijack a camera which is not my own. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a point & shoot or a professional DSLR. In the end it’s all about the image. I love moments like these 🙂
