Went for a walk in Chinatown the other day with my new Fuji X-100. I gotta say that this little camera is perfect for street shooting, as no one really notices you with it. What’s also amazing is the image quality it can produce. The dynamic range is spectacular and the lens is super sharp. The only thing that I still find a little tricky is the 35mm equivalent focal length, as you really have to get up close and personal in order to capture most situations. Ideally, I would love a 50mm, but I guess we have to make with what we have. In a way it’s good as it will force me to learn, which is the reason I picked this camera up. I figure that after shooting with a fixed focal length for at least 6 months, my photography will greatly improve. It really forces you to think.
Anyways, more street work coming up soon, as well as another wedding series.
